VSO (Veterans Service Organizations)

Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) provide a variety of services for veterans and their dependents. From assisting with VA forms to the prosecution of claims, VSOs are available to help you.  You can find these service organizations, as well as detailed information about the services they provide on the VA website.

The American Legion– chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, war-time veterans’ organization, devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

Paralyzed Veterans of America-a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of our members – veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction.

Veterans Crisis Line-The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States.
